Had to take time away from the podcasts to recover from my calf injury - wow does it take a long time. Anyway the last couple of weeks I've been getting back to it and today completed week 3 run 3 without discomfort (apart from the cold and the rain).
I still can't claim any more than a slow jog but it's great to get back out there and I'm feeling very good about posting something positive on here. I'm no expert but I've leaned that if you've got an injury, you need to give it plenty of time before trying to do anything with it, even light stretching.
Good running everyone

Congratulations Andy , glad to hear your back out there . All the best for the rest ofyour runs , I'm doing r1 wk 1 thursday excited but nervouse about the old ankle at the same time .
Hey Rockette, thanks for your support, it's great to hear you're coming back as well, just take it easy and stop at the first sign of discomfort - it took me several goes to learn that lesson which meant that I've had to rest for even longer.
Good luck for Thursday, let us know how you get on
