Has anyone else had problems recently? I use runkeeper but have also tested it on the Wahoo ap. Even in good weather it is giving me a pace of 2-4 mins per km. whilst I have made progress it is not that much!! I changed some settings to make the battery last longer but can't see anything that should affect the GPS. Any ideas?

Help. GPS on iPhone had gone crazy and is knocking a minute off my pace.
GPS on iPhone - any phone - isn't great. I've been told If you want perfect accuracy you'll need something like a garmin.
I use MapMyRun which easily adds an extra 10% - sometimes much more - to the distance I'm running, reducing my minutes per mile significantly. Sometimes it says I do 7 min miles - haha. Some people say other apps are more accurate, but ultimtely it comes down to the tech in the phone, I think, and there is only so much it can do.
It's frustrting me elugh that i'm seripusly thinking about getting a garmin when i graduate, so i feel your frustration!
Thanks. I will give it a few more tries. It used to be pretty reliable. Don't really want to get a garmin.
On Sunday and again today I had a similar experience. I always use Runkeeper and it's only let me down once before. I often run the same route and it's very consistent. But on Sunday, in a new location, it added at least 1k before I really got started. Today, along my normal route, it says I've run 14.3 k in just 35 minutes ( I wish). Something definitely odd going on!
i agree if your going to keep it up ive had one for a month now very very good push start of you go it will give your pace dist calories does laps push stop and hook up to pc and upload to my map my run and the garmin site hope this helps
