I tried my new running app iSmoothrun. It was brilliant, I set it up before I went out to keep me at 12 min/mile so I wouldn't start off too fast and it really worked. I would recommend it to anyone who has trouble pacing themselves - providing you don't mind an American woman barking 'speed up' or 'slow down' every few minutes

That sounds interesting - I'm trying to work on my speed a bit and with no Garmin (yet!) could do with a way of keeping my speed in check without getting my phone out of my pocket. I'm using Map my Run so get the speeds per k but that's after the fact. Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. Good luck with week 7.
