Wow, what a journey. I got to week 9, graduated then started having really bad issues with my knee. 6 weeks out, physio and a running gait analysis( well worth the money in my opinion ) revealed that my knee isn't the issue. I have a hip rotation which flicks my foot inwards and causes strain on my knee. Now in intense exercise programme to strengthen the hip muscles... Had to go back to week 6 on treadmill but just did my first outside run on real concrete, with real fresh air (((( nothing like it) and completed Wk 6, R2. Now to rebuild previous running stamina and get back up to week 9.

It's funny how these issues arise after you've graduated. Did with me too. Good that you've had some physio and know what to do now. I have glute/hip strengthening exercises to do as well. Once you know what you're dealing with it doesn't seem so bad somehow. Good luck getting back to fitness

Sorry to hear about your hip, but now you have the knowledge and proper shoes then things are on the up for you. Running outside is great isn't it! Keep running in different places so you don't get bored. Happy running
