So a week before Christmas I ran the second run of week6, but since then, what with Christmas, New Year, bad weather and general laziness I haven't been running. I'm keep to start again this week, but will my fitness have dropped significantly so that I will struggle if I pick up where I left off (i.e. run 2/3 of week 6)? I wondering if getting back into it is more of a mental challenge rather than a physical one? I just don't want to injure my muscles as they haven't been used for a while!
Any suggestions and advice welcome, thanks!

A lot of people suggest going back to the week before you left off. So I would try either week 4 run 3 or week 5 run 1. A little bit of interval training. Walk/run to help ease you back into it. If you find you don't need to walk after the first one just go back to were you left off. Good for you for getting back out there again. Remember to stretch and your rest days. I am sure you will be fine. Happy running.
If running becomes difficult, you could drop it down to some speed walking. Or at the start of the run if it's too difficult or daunting to actually run, try some speed walking and then turn it into a run. Good luck.
