Hi, does anyone use the Runkeeper app at the same time as the C25K podcast? Do they work together OK?

I do and its been fine so far. I need to start them both before I leave home or the car as I cant see my phone without glasses!! So far I haven't had any problems. On the longer runs its good to have runkeeper announce how far you have gone, average pace etc every so often.

Thanks - does Runkeeper interrupt the podcast with the announcements? I need glasses too so need to be sure I am all set up before going out! That's why I wanted to be sure everything works OK :)

I always set the podcast off 1st and then set run keeper going. By the time Ive taken off my glasses and shut the front door Laura has finished her welcome and is telling me it's time to start the warm up. The podcast is always there playing music and when run keeper makes its announcements you can still hear run keeper in the background. It will take you a few runs to get timing of the announcement correct. I now have it set for every km (so I know how fast I've gone with the warm up) and every 5 mins. It's a little overkill but I'm in week9 and only have one run to go so it helps me keep going as I need the time checks. Good luck

I turn off the audio messages as I'm happy with just Laura and not have her interrupted. I like to see the stats on Runkeeper when I get home but I don't need them on my C25k+ runs.

I agree - I shall do the same. Thanks.

Hello

I have been using Runkeeper since half way through week one and I love saving the maps and seeing progress. I find it much easier to use than mapmyrun too. There is only one button to click to start it and it is red so pretty easy to see (I too use glasses) and I too set it up before getting out of the car or leaving home. I now have it set up to announce pace at each kilometre because otherwise it was interrupting Laura too much.

I used it last night and it worked perfectly. I turned off the announcements, I don't really need them because I use a Garmin GPS watch. I wanted Runkeeper to post on Facebook as I have a friend doing the same thing but doesn't live near enough to run with me. I love gadgets but I am easily put off if they don't work right!
