Today is my running day and the weather is absolutely FOUL! Do I risk getting pneumonia or put it off till tomorrow (when my guess is it will be equally bad) ?

I would go out. It's never as bad as you think it's going to be. It's windy and very wet here but it's not that cold. Quite bright now in fact. You don't have to go as far if you don't want to.

It isn't bad when out there. Remember - layers for warmth! (Wearing leggings, sports bra, running shirt, light thermal top and running jacket. No hat and gloves but those are in my pockets

Hopefully you are out there as I write :D

Don't want to sound smug or nothing, but boy was I glad I ran yesterday when I heard the wind rattling our windows this morning :)

It's a run day for me too, despite the weather. Buff beanie on head, rain jacket, leggings and gloves. The rain might have stopped by the time I go but it's going to be very windy. It feels great...when you get back home and get in the bath!

Go for it. You can feel even more pious after. I did.

Well that was absolutely horrible! It was nearly dark by the time I got my act together. Ran with my daughter in law again and we chose to stay on the local lanes instead of the forest and it was SO hilly and windy I felt I was running through treacle. It appears I am not nearly as fit as I thought I was. never mind. I do feel virtuous. And if the weather permits we plan to do a proper flat forest run tomorrow.

Wow! You did it! I waited until it stopped and the wind died down. Headed off at about 1550 and got home just as it was getting dark. Wet feet but everything else fine. Quite mild after all that?

Remember these runs will help build your stamina - and you have taken exercise and burnt off some Christmas calories!

I have to admit to chickening out yesterday! So well done you! I went out Friday and really struggled. It wasn't the rain so much as the wind, there were parts of my run when i was running for my dear life, but getting nowhere fast!!! Can't run today as i have a house full. Tomorrow it must be...

I see by reading the posts you did go out. Me too and it was pouring for the whole run. All of the paths were puddled and my feet, along with everything else were soaking. But it's good to have done it isn't it. So well done.

On these sorts of days just remember you can only get so wet, 5 minutes in and for every raindrop that hits another falls off so after that it's a piece of cake!
