first run in about 6 months tonight on treadmill. Using treadmill as recovering from partially torn achilles. I've never been a great runner, but i'm stacking weight on and it's getting me down!! Need to get off my backside now. Probably will blow a bit, but i know in 9 weeks i'll be able to run a 5k in less than 30 mins. That's my goal (and weight loss).

Well done in making the first move. Just remember to take it slowly and repeat a run if you need to. You'll get loads of support on this site. Keep posting and good luck.
