I'm in my forties, no problems with me knees before, graduated a year ago, run about twice a week - the knee is not really painful but I can definitely feel it, its a bit tender all the time then painful on stairs. Any experience or advice would be great, thanks

If it is still sore after 3 weeks, I would go see a doctor. I don't think anyone on here is willing (or able) to give advice which could potentially replace the advice of your doctor.
