w5r2 done - what a difference a hat makes

Getting a bit brisk here, so I bought myself a hat (black knitted "thinsulate") Wow what a difference ! I was nice and warm throughout, including in the walking sections.

I don't know if it was down to the hat, but for the first time, today the run felt good and I felt like I might actually be able to do this. I've been using mapmyrun in stealth mode for the last few times, but today felt brave enough to share to my FB. I'm currently doing 3k in my 30 minutes, so lots of room for improvement !

onwards and upwards. Dreaded w5r3 will be either Friday or Monday, depending on how my day shapes out Friday...

  • Good luck with 5.3. If you've kept to the programme, you will be fine.

  • I run with a hat - does feel snug and I do think it keeps me warmer.

  • Don't forget the gloves either; I just did, and it's not nice!
