Whoop! I LOVED it even though it was raining stair rods. I managed not to get too out of breath, and I'm sure my new running jacket made all the difference. Light as a feather, and kept me drier than I expected, given the foulness of the weather.

Still getting a kick when greeted like a kindred spirit by experienced runners too.

Beginner's question alert - does anyone waterproof their running shoes?

No. Mine have only a mesh top as do the other few runners i know. It's quite nice to get cooled feet in the rain!

No. I come back with them caked in mud. They've been in the washing machine a few times and in wintertime they're banned to the utility room. All good fun! (Make sure they're dry tho before you put them on again. I didn't need to say that did I? :) )
