Running for longer than last week was easier...

This morning I set out on my first run of Week 2 (2nd time round). I have completely forgotten how I did last year (and I don't think I started blogging about my running until later in the programme. Anyway, when Laura said that I'd be running for 90s with 2mins walking in between to recover for a total of 20mins I did a quick mental calculation to work out that that was 6 runs. I think it was because there were only 6 runs (against 8 last week), even though they were half as long again, was what made it easier for me. I even had spells where I was quite enjoying running! (I don't really like running; what I like is having run.) I'm running on the grass this time round so my feet got quite wet. The front of my running shoes is sort of mesh, so my socks got a bit soggy. No matter. I did my 9 minutes of running and I feel better for having done it. Onwards and upwards!

When I started this the last time I felt week 2 was easier than week 1 for that reason, and week 3 was my favourite (only got to week 4 though). I don't really understand the step up from 3 to 4 compared 2 to 3. week 3 to 4 is much greater, I managed it though... I may have made that sound really confusing, bottom line, I agree :) let's put it down to getting stronger.

I love how you say "I don't really like running; what I like is having run". You put my thoughts into words. Well done for completing the run. I did it this morning too.

Ha ha, I think there is definitely a market for t-shirts which say "I don't like running, what I like is having run". That's most of us buying one, I should think!
