Today it happened - I AM A RUNNER!

All the way along this program, even though I recently graduated, I don't think it ever really sunk in what I was doing. I went out every other day without fail, started real slow, finished real slow, gradually built up the times and distances. Bought a few 'proper' running tops, and, just recently, some dinky running shorts, but it was just what I did, I didn't really think about it. But, then I was having a chat with a new lady at our weekly coffee morning, and she asked if I biked - my immediate answer was, "No, I'm a runner", and then I stopped and had to take a moment to repeat it to myself (didn't do it out loud, obviously, cos that would have made me look slightly demented, especially with the inane grin spreading across my face). I'd never acknowledged it before, to others or myself, but now I can loudly and proudly shout to the world- I AM A RUNNER!
