Hello, I never thought I would join a 'running' community!

I'm 57, overweight and yet ran (well jogged slowly) for 5 minutes without dying today. It was my first run of Week 4 and I didn't think I complete it. BUT I DID! I even found myself wondering if I could fit in a run before work - wow!

Well done! I think we're in danger of being addicted!

That's fantastic, What a sense of achievement eh? I am just finishing week 4. I am in my 50's too (55) bit overweight and always thought i would hate running. Not sure if I am loving it yet( especially as I had a rubbish run tonight) but the buzz I have got from succeeding every other time means I am sure I will keep going. Let us know if you do fit in that run before work:)

Having read lots of the posts here I have just downloaded the strength and flex w1 so might try that tomorrow as I can't run until Thursday. Never thought I would be feeling like this! Your run tonight is probably just a blip and the next one will be good. Do you go onto w5 next?

Yep, just wondering whether I should do another of the week 4 runs before moving on. Might be worth it to rebuild my confidence. I have also been reading about and going to download the strength and flex. Will be good to see how that works. Am doing yoga every Saturday morning but think I need to do more, don't want to get weaker as I get older. especially my arms. Will watch out for your updates and wishing you on.
