When should I conga?

I have been gradually building up to 10k and am now running just over 8k. Should I conga at the 5k mark (halfway up a long steep incline) or do I wait until I'm at the end? (Also during a hill climb). Or both!

I wonder if Labradors can conga! :)

Well now there's a conundrum? I would conga at the end. That's what I did. But make sure it's done in front of LOADS of passers by to ensure maximum personal embarrassment!!!

I will continue running until I find a suitable audience to impress with my rhythmic dance. Do family and other animals count?

As deputy congameister I would advise not rushing in too fast, Tready. A 30 second conga at any moment of exhilaration, eg. after each k run, each ten minute period, on summitting a pesky incline and of course when completing your run, is a good start. Be careful congaing in the presence of unrestrained dogs and livestock. With an app like Runkeeper you can set up conga intervals to make sure you keep on target and slowly increase duration.

With time you should cope with a 30 minute conga covering approximately 2 to 3 k.

By the time we get to Christmas there will be no stopping us.

This advice may well be qualified by Congameister General, dan(conga)zargo, who is after all the founder of our movement.

DA DA DA DAA!!

Perhaps instead of pushing on to 10k I should run for 5 and Conga for 5. A whole new sport! 5k parkconga:)

Good idea. The world needs more spontaneous dancing. And thank you:)

My two like to join in everything, I think they are humans in disguise!

I'm not following any programme at the moment, just doing three runs then adding another K. Working for me so far. Good luck for your flat run :)
