What would be a good running app to use alongside the podcasts?

I want to keep a bit of variation to my route but find it hard to judge timing of the 30min session so I'm sticking to doing laps round my local green!

I use MapMyWalk and set it to run mode. Fairly easy to use, doesn't interrupt the podcast apart from telling me when I've completed each mile and obviously keeps track of your workouts.

It has nutrition data as well if you want to use that too.

I have the app version for an Android phone.

GoodRunGuide, MapMyRun, Runtastic, Nike which comes with iPods are all quite good. Think you have to try them and see which you like best. GoodRunGuide gives you a month free trial (or used to) then its about £20 a yer after, has lots of good extra's.

I use mapmywalk and strava- I mapmywalk the whole route- warm up, run and cool down and additionally I use strava for the running part- both are free on iPhone.

I've mapped over 600 miles since last October!

I started on mapmyrun and then went into runkeeper. I prefer the latter but the former had a better delay option. Whilst you decide which you like best RunGap is good - it can't measure directly but you can use it to collate all the data collected in the various apps so if you stop using one app, you'll still have a record of you achievements. It was useful when I switched!

Runkeeper - I've found for Week 4 I need to map about 2 1/2 miles. I found it fidally to use at first cos I can't get the map to scroll up but if you put the map into full screen and pan out so it's smaller you can go up without a problem.
