Mojo located up a hill...

I have been feeling a bit out of sorts with my running since the Olympic Park run as I had no proper goal (I am signed up for a R4L in October but only 5k so that's not a challenge as such) I have been out running but have missed a few do to going camping or other days out; and shifts have meant I haven't been able to Parkrun for ages (& as I am on nights tonight, no Parkrun tomorrow again! :-(

However my eldest daughter is now on C25K wk 8, I have been out with her a few times in the earlier weeks but I was having a sudden panic that as she's half my age she will soon whizz past me, so I have taken to running one of my old post grad routes - but in reverse so where I used to run down the big hill I now run up it! I had to walk for about the distance between two lamposts last time in the middle of the hill; today I made it all the way up, yay!

5k done, no stopping, felt good, so I was a happy runner! :-)

My younger daughter has also started C25K with her hubby; she is on week 2 and coping ok (she is very overweight but seems determined & is using MFP along with oyher daughter & me)

Oh, also today I weighed in & have reached my 3 stone lost! Only about the same to go! ;-)

Well done on weight loss - you must be very, very proud of yourself. And I thnk you have re-inspired me - since doing R4L in July, I seem to have lost something. Am about to go out now,

Cheers!

What a great weight loss, Poppy - you must be feeling fantastic! And well done for running up your hill - I must confess, I still hate hills. I hope your shifts enable you to Parkrun again soon, and that you have great runs with your daughters :) How great that you have inspired them to do 25k - Ambassador Poppy :)

Well done poppy, I would never have thought to look for my mojo at the top of a hill in the early days ;) I used to hate them but there does come a point when you just have to say "right then bring em on, I can do ups as well as downs" :) Keep up the good running work and weight loss, incredible achievements.
