bon siour runners

so we've had some really hot weather of late ( not that I am complaining)..yesturday was especially good

After a really hard and full on day yesturday I opted for a nice swim

Last run was Saturday ( parkrun)

I am so desperate to get out there

Far too hot today and when I got home there were too many domestic crises to deal with

So my plan to address this issue is:

Pre work run..

I have to leave by 7.30 to get to work by 9

So thats a 5.30 AM run with time for a quickie shower

eek

Husband has agreed to push me out of bed at 5.20 ( he will be up anyway)

I am blogging this as I know if I have put it out there I cannot chicken out!!!!!

Wish me luck!!!

Oh, jolly good show! :D I'm thinking that I really need to try and do an early run soon. Seeing you're doing one might just be the push I need. Though it won't be at 5.30. :)

Great Greenlegs ill give you all the lowdown tomorrow and good luck with your early start I'm sure it'll be worth it

5:30 ...... Nice and early then, should be lovely and cool. Although I've never run at that time though. This heat is a killer, I was literally dripping wet by lunchtime yesterday, so its easy to dehydrate if your not careful, so plenty of water & early night and am sure you will nail it.

Good luck and happy running.

Thank you MatthewW.. I'm going to make sure I take plenty of fluids and I agree yesterday was particularly hot wasn't it... Wow this really is a heat wave !

It sounds like a good plan! Let us know how it goes- I have opted for the dusk runs not the dawn though!

Rather you than me .... 5.30 day starts are things of the past best forgotten now I'm retired - though I do love a glorious sunrise and would do it for the start of a holiday. I've done some 7 and 7.30 runs and they are still cool - usually! ... but today, a little bit later .... a no-can-do! Hang in there folks, this is the summer we all longed for during those freezing, wet, foggy days of February!

Good luck JuicyJu ... The crack of dawn is for working youngsters, you'll forgive an oldie if I stick with cooler, later mornings teehee. Take care and take lots of water, happy running, Linda x

The forecast for tomorrow is snow with a north easterly wind so wrap up warm.

Only joking - good luck with the early start.

So how did it go? I was out at about 7.15 and came back awfully sweaty just after 8, I was deliberately running to find the shade though.

I loved it...I was out there by 5.30 after hubby pushed me out of bed. I could feel the heat rising as I ran. Hardly anyone about but saw two runners: One combat wierdo ( no eye contact) and one 'normal runner' he gave me a smile! Well done you on getting out there.

I have changed when I run. I always ran in the evening as I had more time.....but because of the beautiful hot weather at the mo I've changed to mornings. I get up at 6am if it's a 5km and 5.30 for the longer run. It is an ungodly hour, but it worth it. Didn't think I would enjoy morning but it isn't so bad. Not sure I will be saying that in the winter lol. Hope it went well for you.... :)

I so loved it, did 10k and been on a multiple high all day! I'm going tomorrow too. It means I can enjoy my evenings now...
