Hey All,
Well, the gloss was off last week after running 5K on my graduation day - a 5K Parkrun in Norwich the Saturday before last. I ran last Tuesday and Friday, my usual 2.7 miles (just a conveniently measured distance which is a little less than 5K but takes me more than the thirty minute runs required in Week 9) but Tuesday was slow, even for me, and Friday was my equal best time but it felt hard and there's that feeling - at least for me - that once you've graduated, things should be easier... And of course, they're not!
Anyway, today I decided to do the speed runs to try and mix things up a bit. It was hard, just doing the first five minute run and I felt I had to have a break before I started the first fast one minute run, but I managed to keep going after that and did the rest. Maybe this is just what I need, along with the stamina runs, to keep motivated because I'd love to get to doing 10K, preferably at a little faster pace than I'm doing now!
Running is addictive!!
