B210k & getting ready for the Olympic Park run...

Went out in the summer sun at about 11am to do my next B210k run, I am staying with my son for the weekend so he came too, first time since my first Parkrun back in March. He has moved into a house a 3 minute walk from a nice big tree lined park so was able to avoid being in the full sun most of the way round.

It went ok but I couldn't keep up to my planned 7.30/km pace. It was the first training run with no music as I was trying to chat with son, & it was so hot! Bit disappointed, but if the weather is like this in 2 weeks I hope a bit of excitement will spur me on to try harder!

Son's opinion- I'm doing ok, better than March but still slow! Oh, to be 23 again! Another reason to keep training to try and impress him sometime!
