After Thursdays bad run (completed target distance but slowly and miserably) today we chose to try the route round the golf course clockwise, and thus up the short stepp side and down the longer less steep side. The steep but was really really hard.(according to runkeeper biggest elevation climb 54m) I was "jogging" slower than I'd walk and it took a while of slower going on the plateau to recover, but OMG the long down was fantastic! Overall, I think I prefer that way and I can understand now why the parkrun goes that way round. I was still knackered at the end (it is boiling out there!) but we clocked our best time! Woo hoo!
Also , in topic of "rude" runners, I think we are blessed in leamington. Most acknowledge us in some way - today a fast runner was going the other way , very quickly and too fast to speak, but they still waved a thank you cos hubbie and I run single file on the narrower parts to let others past!
