Graduated...new plan started

I have actually done it!! After eight months of hauling myself along in all weathers I finally completed the third 30 minute run on Monday.

Major improvements have been made, mentally and physically, even losing cellulite and a few inches along the way.

So...having downloaded 5K+ podcasts last night - I set out to do the interval training run and boy did it hurt. Really struggled but managed to do the faster runs, it was changing back down a gear that I found really hard. My legs are feeling tighter as the day progresses.... Hopefully this will get me speeding up and increase my fitness levels so that my snails pace improves and I can actually achieve 3K rather than the 2.64 that I currently do.

Big thanks to all the bloggers out there...I know you have all inspired me to keep at it no matter what hiccups have happened along the way!

Great, well done, as they say, "slow and steady wins the day!" Who cares how long the journey, getting there is what matters and you definitely got there/here! LOL :D

Keep on keeping on, cos that's what several of us are doing....not actively aiming for great sporting acclaim or supersonic speeds - just enjoying the new fitness levels that running brings and, of course, the cameraderie of this forum!

Hope you will get your grad' badge soon and flaunt it - you've worked long and hard to earn it! All the best for your own 'onwards and upwards'! ;) Cheers, Linda x

Brilliantly run! You are a star. Just think of all the people that can't run for a minute! :)

Congratulations on your graduation - brilliant achievement :) Don't worry about the speed or the distance. Although many people go on to train for 10k and more, there are also many of us who just aim to run for 30 minutes or so a couple of times a week to maintain our fitness and have fun. Enjoy your running :)
