I completed week 6 run 2 this evening, and it wasn't too bad. Bit concerned that from now on in it's continuous running. But I have faith. Almost there now!

Well done, that's exactly how I'm feeling.... Week 6 run 3 today, after 3 rest days, treating myself to a new route as a distraction. :s

Ha ha, good luck! Think I'll do the same!

If you've got up to week 6 and are now on week 7 you've done all the preparation for the longer runs. Have faith in the programme as it works and works well. But more importantly have faith in yourselves, you can do this just like hundreds before you. Well done, take it slow and steady to start the longer runs and you can always step up the pace nearer the end. Good luck to backwardpossom & Former-PE-Skiver (love both the names) ;)

Thank you both, Oldgirl and backwardpossom. My week 6, run 3 went well, I've just posted up a blog and I've been floating on a cloud of achievement all day!

Now the fun really begins (you'll love it) next decision, to ditch the dreadful music or stick with Laura...enjoy :-)

Good luck....I finished Week 6 run 2 last night and am looking at doing run 3 tomorrow night and then having a 3 day rest before I hit the long runs. I am so excited and I feel that I am well prepared and I did really well with last weeks 20 minute run, I was so excited to finish the 20 minutes that I could have kept running :-) so I am sure you will do great.

I'm at the same point as you, did W6R2 today and am feeling quite apprehensive about there being no walking breaks. Found today that the lower half of my lower legs ie. below calves on both legs, were feeling really tight when running and for the first time my thighs were tingling when I finished. Just don't feel there is any way I can do 25, 28 and 30 minute runs from now...?

Have faith Sofaqueen you will do it. Trust the programme, Laura but most important TRUST YOURSELF. Good luck.

You can do it - you have done the preparation and honestly, I have just finished W6R3 and you could have knocked me over with a feather when I completed 25 mins continuous running - but I did it!
