...and good news. He said there was restrictive movement in my hip which is turn has affected my front quad, explains why I've had a twinge above my knee and occasional sore hip for three months! He said there's been a definite improvement since the last time he saw me and asked if I'd been doing the knee/leg strengthening and 'bridge' exercises. I said yes, religiously and been using the foam roller, which again i know has been invaluable to my recovery. The yoga is definitely helping as well, feeling more flexible and can stretch further already! He also checked my legs are the same length, yes always a relief! My leg feels so much looser and although tender where he was massaging in the knee I can't wait for my run tomorrow. Am still going for x-ray on my leg,no harm in that, but yippee this is such good news, thought I had to hang up my running shoes forever a few weeks back.

:)

That's great news. I'm in the same boat with tight quads pulling my knees off kilter, so I also spend a lot of time with the foam roller (and my physio!). I was very worried I'd be told to stop running but she has kept me going, glad yours has too :-)

Hi Fletchasketch, glad you're doing well. Who would have thought a bit of foam could help? I did pull my face at the thought of having to do exercises and not just go out running, but obviously they've paid off and they don't take long. I find foam rolling quite therapeutic. I couldn't imagine not running now, not keen on swimming or other sports!

Happy running to you

:)

I have a love-hate relationship with my roller. So painful, but so useful! Happy running to you too :-)
