3 runs to go until I graduate and am feeling pretty amazing :) Never thought I would stick with the program (I never stick with anything) and If you had told me 3 months ago I would Look forward to running in the evening I would have laughed at you :) Anyway am going to treat myself to a graduation pressie of a gps tracker so I can see how close I am to doing 5k and am looking for recommendations. Am interested in the Garmin Forerunner 10 not really bothered about heart rate, but really want to be able to track my distance, laps etc. Any advice would be massively appreciated.

Hi emmarocky, have a look at the sports watches link I posted up and there's been a recent blog on this forum

I bought a Garmin Forerunner 10 and used it for the first time a couple of days ago for wk8 r3. I thought it was brilliant. It really helped me to be able to see the distance and time so easily and I did my best run yet. I had been using Runkeeper and don't see the stats until I finish as it is in my running wallet (I will not call it a bum bag). I bought the Garmin from Tesco as they had an offer on at the time too. It's v easy to use too. Good luck with the last week too!

Many thanks for your help. Have just ordered myself a Forerunner 10. Am so excited hoping it will be here for my graduation run on Thursday :)

Hi Emma!

I was considering buying a Forerunner 10 nearer the end of the programme (I'm on week 5) so I'll have something to help with pace/distance when the podcasts end. Please will you let me know if you like yours once you've used it? I've a few weeks to go yet so no rush but I'd really like to hear from somebody who owns one before I buy one for myself.

Thanks! Jany.

Hi Jany

Sorry only just seen this. the forerunner 10 came yesterday and I took it for a test run. I only did 15 mins as I was on a rest day and covered 2.25k. I found it really easy to use and give me the stats I wanted. I got it for £84 inc postage so not cheap but well worth the money in my opinion. Taking it out tonight for my final run (week 9 run 3 ) and hoping it will help me get 5k under my belt but we will see ....... :)
