I wasn't sure how I was going to do on this one as I was still bit achy from my 'chariots of fire' thing the other day.
But it is a lovely sunny morning, a bit of mist rolling in from the sea, my desire is always to be here.....ooops off at a tangent there.
Anyhow I donned my togs and set off in the reverse direction. It felt very good, the lack of wind made it a lot easier (the weather I mean ) and I have just about shaken my cold off now, so I didn't feel like an asthmatic land crab either.
I couldn't run along the beach today because the tide was in and that would have made it really difficult so I ran along the promenade top instead without stopping for an ice cream.
I actually made it around the circuit much quicker this time and had to do an extra lap of the park to make enough room to fit my warm down walk in. .
As a bit of an aside, I took my blood pressure just before I set off.
A very respectable 109/70 with a pulse rate of 43.
And just for fun I did it again as soon as I got back, still out of breath and dripping with sweat....and to my amazement it was 121/79 with a pulse rate of 80!
Now, it was only four months ago that you could have added those two results together and not been too far off what my BP was at rest!
Although a lot of this success is down to the betablockers I am on, I think as I am only on small dose there may be a case for me coming off them soon, so I will see what the doc says next visit.
Happy Days!
I am glad these aren't taxed!
Week Four I am coming after you...
