One Week Until First Official 5K!

Today I ran another 5K in preparation for my first official 5K run, which is now only one week from today. It is pretty inspiring as I think back to the day when I first registered for the Color Me Rad 5K. It was during week 3 of C25K journey, and I honestly couldn't imagine that I would be ready to run a 5K in a few short weeks. I clearly remember sitting at my computer for the longest time trying to get the courage to click the button to finalize the registration and pay the entry fee. Even then it would be another few weeks before I actually told anyone what I had done.

Now with one week of preparation to go, I must say that I am feeling pretty ready to go out there and make it happen. I am consistently running my 5K route through my hilly neighborhood in a comfortable 34 to 38 minutes, and I always end the run feeling like I could continue on. In fact, on Monday I actually ran 8K. I'm excited about running in the 5K next week, and I can't wait to write about it when I'm done!

If you are early on in your C25K journey and wondering if you will ever be able to make, YOU CAN. I think most of us here would say, "If I can do it, you can too."
