So yesterday was week 6, run 1 - I found it harder than the dreaded week 5, run 3.
Wasn't helped by the fact that I was in the middle of a two day row with himself so set off in a steaming temper. The first 5 min run was probably the fastest I've ever gone
I reminded myself this isn't meant to be a walk in the park (har har) and to just get on with it. Having a "bad" run just a few days ago helped - I got through that, I can get through this.
So, that's another run done
I've been signed off sick with stress (heart palpitations at my age? Something ain't right - on the plus side I've had blood tests, pressure checked and 2 ECG so I know for sure there's nowt wrong with me.....apart from being at the end of my tether a bit) and it's funny to think that when I go back I'll be just a week away from graduating. Being a bit goal-oriented I'm already planning what to do next - Stepping stones podcast, then speed and stamina and then Saturday morning park run. Oh, and now I'm fitter than I have been in quite a while I've signed up to start agility classes with the pooch in June.
You know what, this running lark is opening doors I didn't know existed.....which is nice.
