Weeks 7 and 8 have been fairly uneventful so far. Have changed my route this week as it was getting a bit too samey. Ventured onto real streets today and off my comfy, flat canal path. It's a route I'm familiar with and drive along very frequently. I had considered it to be fairly level, but since driving along it last, it has bizarrely become as steep as Snowdonia! How did that happen? Much harder than running on the level, so I take my hat off to all you hill runners out there!

Good for you to vary your route as we can get complacent - and our bodies to. I am reliably told it is the hills that make us better stronger runners. I loathe hills - but I am no longer completely daunted by them -and actually manage to run up them - so I guess I must have improved my stamina - both mental and physical.
happy running!!

Curiously, one of my worst runs was along a canal path - although it was flat, it just seemed to go on and on and on, the same, the same, the same, for ever - and I think it might have been better for a bit of sloping variety.
