Zombies, Run! - How does this work?

Has anyone on here had a go at this? If yes, how does it work? Is it all running, no walking at all? How long for? Or do you just stop when you feel like it?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Since I downloaded the upgrade, it doesn't work at all any more and I've lost all my previous achievements. Not happy, ended up uninstalling it! :-(

I've used it throughout the 5x50 so am on to Season 2. There was an update this week that gave credit for Season 1 achievments so it's worked ok for me.

The idea is that you have your own music playlist and Zombie Run will cut in as you progress to tell you that you've picked up some goodies (trousers, newspaper, batteries etc).

In between songs you cut to a story where you play a (mute and passive) part as "Runner 5". So the story is unfolding during your run.

You can choose to have Zombies chasing you too. If you do then, at random, you will be told that Zombies are 100m behind you .... at this point you need to put on a spurt and stay ahead of them for about a minute until they give up or you drop one of your goodies and that distracts them.

Each season comprises a number of "missions" and you can choose that these missions are roughly 30 or 60 minutes long so about the same as a 5k run. When the mission is completed you can choose to carry on and pick up more goodies, or stop.

The goodies you have collected are used to build up facilites at your base.

I do like it as it adds an extra interst to your run or playlists but it is quite apassive role that you actually play.

So, if when I start the app running, does that mean I have to commit to either a 30 minute run or a 60 minute run at the start?

Still a bit confused. Maybe I should just give it a go.
