Week 5, Run 1.
Went rather well. The first 5 minute run was the toughest.
The last one was the easiest. Bit weird: around 3 mins in I found my stride lengthening to a slight lope and I almost felt like I could run forever. It came as a surprise when Laura told me I'd done 5 mins and could stop running.
What seems to help is the music - I know most people hate it but I've enjoyed at least half the songs on the podcasts (although some are so awful they make me smile).
The instrumentals are actually the best - my mind just seems to drift when they're on.
I am at one with my body, breathing in, breathing out .....
Well, that's the hope anyway - I am still much daunted by the thought of running for a solid 20 minutes in just 4 days time!!
