I've done two runs post graduation both faster but less than 30 minutes. I was having trouble motivating myself and thinking 'what now? Where do I go? Maybe I need someone to run with now...'
I've been steadily losing weight since January healthy eating and exercise but this week for the first time I put on half a pound.
It was the motivation I needed. I downloaded stepping stones today, got up early and tried a new route. I finished it no problem on a steep uphill
So I need Laura - at least the music is marginally better and it's such a beautiful day. I added a nice two mile walk back onto my exercise sheet too shortcutting across the fields.
Blinking endomondo failed to track the run but I felt it was a good distance

I agree running without Laura feels odd and I'm sure I don't run as fast. Some people suggest going back to the start (W1R1) and beginning again, running the whole way but running faster when she tells you to actually run. It's nice to have the security of Laura - and also the motivation - but it increases your speed too.
I'm glad I read about Stepping Stones on here as it really worked for me yesterday. Laura keeps me going when I feel like stopping. Yesterday I came to an unexpected steep set of steps up a hillside which I couldn't run up (I got about half way). I walked up the rest quickly and I was very hot and breathless at the top. Without Laura I would without doubt have taken a rest but because I was following a podcast I start running again as soon as my feet touched the path at the top. Yes I can run but I'm a way off being a 'runner'
