It's great to see so many new names at the start of the year it helps everyone on the forum when there is an increase In Enthusiasm.

I've been signed up to the forum for a long time but only just started running proper in the last few months as I have a Men's Health Survival of the Fittest 10K Obstacle run in October so I need to get in shape for that.

Week2 & 3 were pretty easy for me, week 4 was a struggle towards the end and week 5 starts for me today :\

Loving the support and advice I've been getting from members so far.

Perhaps next time you should have a category "Doing It Again". I am currently on week 6 run 2 - for the second time. Just had to get reacquainted with Laura's choice of music :-)

I've added it in with injury couch as I have run out of boxes.

Would like to get to 1/2 marathon is there an app after coach to 5k with music and support?

There are many apps, I'm afraid a lot of us haven't found many as good as Laura. My Asics plan is good for structure but there is no verbal support. after you graduate there is a bridge to 10km forum there is lots of good advice there about going all the way to ultra if you wanted.

Just starting week 2 tomorrow or Wednesday. My second time doing the plan following a break from running :)

I did the first run of Week 9 yesterday and it was an incredible feeling to run comfortably for 30 minutes. I've signed up to do a 5k run in March and am raising money for charity here: justgiving.com/Karen-Thorburn

If someone had told me a year ago that I would be entering a race, I wouldn't have believed them! Couch to 5k has been a brilliant experience. I found Weeks 7 and 8 a bit tough as that was when I first encountered stitch. There seems to be a fine balance between eating too close to a run and not having eaten enough, but I seem to have figured out what works for me.

Good luck to everyone who has recently started the programme. Keep going, don't be tempted to skip ahead, and if you don't complete a run because of stitch (or another reason), do it again before moving on to the next week.

Trying C25K again after only getting to about week 4 previously on last few attempts. Got into a better work routine at moment which is why im starting again. Just completed W3 r1 yesterday and it felt good! Want to stick with it this time, would be nice to feel fitter! Any tips to help stick with it? Finding/making time has always been my biggest enemy!

Petrified. Week 1, day 1 tonight. TONIGHT!!!

Just making myself put on a jogging suit and making myself turn up will be achievement enough.

Having serious second, third and fourth thoughts right now. :(

Hope I get past them and do it anyway.

W1 R1 done, W1 R2 planned for tonight. Forgot to download Laura for run 1 but trying to use the Garmin for intervals was a pain so looking forward to getting re-acquainted tonight. A lot easier than the 1st time around so far.........shame I went from 0-HM and then back to 0 again but life can get in the way!

Good to see you back again Lovefood. You'll enjoy redoing the programme, I know I did after my accident, and so did Spikymoss and, best of all, we both ended up faster and stronger second time around. Looking forward to reading your progress :)

Tonight's run has been scuppered by feeling a bit rubbish with a headache 😒 So here's to tomorrow! Thanks for the warm welcome back 😊 I like the sound of faster and stronger, I was starting to run like a snail! (Yes I know speed isn't the be all and end all but I really wanted to break the 30min for 5k barrier) Think Laura's music will be out the window again after the intervals are over 😉

Good afternoon, newbie here.

Just completed my first day of week 1. Walked brisk at 3.7mph and only a light jog at 4mph.

So chuffed with myself, another two days this week to go.

Welcome aboard All !

We all started off in more or less the same place , nervous as hell and wondering if we could do it :-)

You CAN do it , trust in the programme and take it slow and steady . Your self belief and confidence will grow and the benefits are immense .

Good Luck to all and keep posting . This is a really supportive, encouraging place and don't worry about asking for any help if you need it :-) xxx

Hi everyone. I started the program last year and as soon as I was brave enough to post that I'd done my first park run my plantar fasciitis returned :'(. This is a long winded way of saying i've continued to follow the forum and restarted the program wk1r1 last night! I got hip and knee pain which I've never had before but have done a 10k walk tonight and only got hip pain so hopefully will do run 2 tomorrow.. Won't push it as need to be able to walk my dogs even if I can't run!

Love the supportive atmosphere on here :)

My third visit to c25k, starting at week 5. Recovering from a hernia op back in September. God I have missed the runs in the rain :)

Hi

I am finding the most enjoyable part of this forum is the vast amount of support, knowledge and tips offered by everyone. I have recently returned to running after a break so starting slowly initially feeling I am both the oldest and slowest plodder in Cambridgeshire but since accessing the forum I am newly encouraged and motivated to know 'we're all in this together'! A big thank you to you all xx
