cabg graft failure?
Dear all I had an 3 X cabg last summer ( I am only 44) and now I am experiencing chest discomfort and have had high pulse (apple watch) with minium effort. I went through blood tests and ekg and echo which all came in fine. This does not feel normal to me, has anyone experienced same symptoms and

Follow up to Monday CABG
First of all I want to thank you all for the messages of support i received before my operation on the 19th of February. The good news is that my triple bypass was a success ! I spent a total of 10 days in hospital, I had a few ups and downs, but overall I have had a positive experience, albeit sometimes

Hello All, I hope you’re well and doing your best on your various journeys. It’s been 5mths since my emergency triple CABG and recovery has been slow but it’s one day at a time. I was considering booking a little trip away as a little treat hitting 6mths and my Doc saying I can fly again but I’m absolutely

Rampiril, half a 1.25mg tablet & a 1.25mg bisoprolol. Why the Rampiril ? 🤣
I wonder why I’m on such a small, fiddly dose of Rampiril? My bisoprolol was lowered from 3.75mg to 1.25 last September and the half 1.25mg Rampiril added. My BP is always 107-115 over 68-75 , resting heart rate 44-49 bpm. Been running 5k 3 times a week plus other activities. 7 months months post CABG

Monday Morning CABG
This is my first post and I have been a reader for a month or so of this forum. I have to say it has given me some comfort to read that i'm not alone. I am going into hospital late Sunday afternoon in preparation for my triple bypass Monday morning. I have to admit i'm slightly apprehensive and a little

failed CABG
had cabgx2 in May. Today I had angiogram which showed one graft was blocked and the other partially so. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so what was the treatment. They have made urgent referral to MDT and said they will plan what to do next. Options suggested were further bypass, stenting

Holiday - flying
My husband would like us to go abroad for some winter sun in the next couple of weeks. Following my CABG in July I am anxious about flying. Should I be worried ?

CAD at 47 - Shock
Just a bit of background. Was suffering from anxiety attacks and heart palpitations last Sep. Was referred to a cardiologist (privately). Did the usual tests (holt ecg / Echo / CTCA). Whilst the ecg and echo came back with no issues, unfortunately CTCA showed moderate( 50%) stenosis in mid-LAD. Calcium

Easing pain in sternum / breast bone when coughing and sneezing.
After I had had a Triple CABG Operation done, every time that I coughed, or sneezed, which I tend to do violently my sternum / breastbone / chest hurt a lot. It was not until a physiotherapist friend had told that hugging myself would make coughing and sneezing more comfortable , that it did not hurt

Hubby having cabg X4 on Thursday
Hubby had a very mild heart attack 2 weeks ago. Kept in hospital then after a week sent to a specialist hospital in Sheffield to have angioplasty and stents. They immediately kept him in Sheffield hospital and he's having a quadruple bypass this Thursday. Feeling so scared and although they are fantastic

Amlodipine Unwanted Side Effects
Several years ago, I was put on my first ever medication for High Blood Pressure, AMLODIPINE. One of the unwanted side-effects of it was abnormal chest pain on the left side of the chest. I even had to get a GP to check me out, but he said that there was nothing wrong. Eventually, my own GP phased

Bisoprolol Experience.
On the 4th of April, 2023, I had a Triple Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Operation. I was then prescribed Bisopralol 10mg, a day, including to help control my high blood pressure. That was despite my telling the hospital doctors that that might not be suitable, because Betablocker medicines like that

NSTEMI/CABG
Hi guysJust a little question .......so on 29th December I had an NSTEMI heart attack. Ever since this date I've been staying in hospital ( horrific, as my mental health is really suffering). I had an angio on January 3rd and was told I need a Bypass. My surgery was scheduled for Jan 17th, however

Pre op done
So im in for cabg x 4 on monday, just been to pre op appointment and am a little shocked as the nurse told me ill just be on paracetamol when i come around ? I thought morphine etc would be administered before I wake up. Kind of hoping the anasthesia is still doing its job upon waking ?

Health Update
So I had the mammogram and ultrasound. Imaging shows a 2cm lump stuck to the breast. The consultant says it is cancer and will be confirmed by the biopsy. Lucky it's caught early and doesn't look like it's spread to the lymph nodes. The plan is breast conservation therapy. A lumpectomy and radiotherapy

Got some cholesterol readings, I don’t quite understand them.
Hi all, I had a blood test this week for liver function and the results included a cholesterol read out. The GP surgery sent me a text to say all the readings were normal. Trouble is I’m 4 months or so post quadruple CABG following Nstemi heart attack in July, am I considered normal on the same scale
