Hi and welcome, you will find lots of people to chat to on here, what have you been diagnosed with. This site is great we love to chat, support each other and have a good laugh as that's one of the best medicine we can have. Try and stay positive, eat healthy and exercise and d remember to drink plenty of water. Please keep posting and let us know how you are doing, we are always here for you, but remember we are unable to give any medical advice. Have a lovely day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx 🌻🌻

Hey, how goes it? A huge thanks for the contact, great to hear from you and yours. Am keeping my chin up, only just been diagnosed, so all very new to me. All British keep their chins up nowhere else to put them,I spoke to one or two other people, it's really nice 👍 👌 😀 to know you are out there, for sure. Regards to you and yours. Ian.

Hey,and thank you so much for your welcome, really nice to hear from you. Only just been diagnosed, so was just a massive shock. My own fault for smoking all my. Still, way too late for regrets. Am from windsor, home of u know who.

It was the smoking that done it for me too! I had given up nearly 20 years before I was diagnosed though!

Welcome to the club. You will adjust and learn to live with copd, give yourself time. I was diagnosed with copd (emphysema) 9 years ago when I lost a lung lobe to cancer. I had been a non smoker for 13 years when I was diagnosed.

Like Damon1864 already said, keep active, drink plenty of water, try to keep a positive outlook.

Every day is a good day.

Welcome to the group Wonderboy6!

You will always find help here from us fellow wheezers.

I was diagnosed with COPD some years ago after I asked for an x-ray because of increasing bouts of breathlessness (I was already being treated for asthma). It would appear that it was already on my medical notes from a few years previously, but no-one thought to let me into the secret!

However, I am now with a new GP practice and on a regime of medication and exercise which has helped enormously. Also, having the support of a specialist nurse practitioner has given me much more confidence. If you are offered this, I'm sure it will help you, too.

Try to keep positive, get out as much as you can and take excercise as you are able.

Remeber that we are all here for you.

You may already be aware of this but if not there is another forum here dealing with lung issues and has considerably more members. Here is the link.
