It sounds like diverticulitis. You need to go to your doctors. They will probably do tests and a FIT test hopefully. If there is blood in your stools then a colonoscopy. This doesn’t mean cancer. There are lots of reasons for passing blood but you need to be sure, the earlier the detection the better. Good luck.

The problem is that I suffer from hemorrhoids and every time I tell them my symptoms they tell me is do to the hemorrhoids And to be honest I doesn’t feel like it’s do to the hemorrhoids. They have done a cr scan and everything was good. And a colposcopy I’m just 28 so they say I’m to young 🤦🏻‍♀️

Hi Smiles199,

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. Alloagirl has a good point in that there are lots of reasons for blood in the stool and it's not necessarily cancer. The blood may be from your hemorrhoids but the abdominal pain is curious. And you commented "to be honest I doesn’t feel like it’s do to the hemorrhoids."

Has the abdominal pain been pretty consistent? That is definitely a sign and may warrant a colonoscopy to see if anything is going on. You are still in search of answers to your issues. Please get back with your GP or seek a 2nd opinion.

Yes you are young. But there are countless stories of individuals who were told by their doctors that they were "too young" or "it's just hemorrhoids", who ended up being diagnosed with colorectal cancer. I share this message with you because there are so many survivors and advocates and organizations that have made it a priority to get the word out that there is no such thing as being too young for this disease.

We do wish you all the best. Please let us know what you find out and the solution to your issue. The information may help others in the group.

Thank You!!!
