There are now over a 100 known types of CMT so no he is wrong, and way out of date, can I suggest you join some CMT groups on Facebook as they carry heaps of information and can recommend Drs who do know more about this disease, 1) CMTAA that's Charcot Marie Tooth Association Australia, and 2) Charcot Marie Tooth Unites us, another on-line group, these will have information from Australia, but also the Group Charcot marie tooth Association America also has heaps more info, and another american one CMT Stand By Me, they all share information that is coming from studies all over the world, plus there is Charcot Marie tooth News on line so that one is not an Fb one just a world news one.. Hope that helps, There is a Dr in Perth , if you can join Charcot Marie Tooth Unites us (Aussie group) Jennifer Mauritz lives in Perth and he specialist has diagnosed her family after 20 or so years with a rare type, there are over 100 types of CMT..
