Hi All,
Have had on going problems with osteoarthritis for approx 2.5 years in right knee only. Recently put on waiting list for a replacement under NHS. Phone call 09:30 Friday 20th May "We've had a cancellation can you come in today!" Full knee replacement Friday afternoon, discharged Sunday 22nd.
Now hurts a lot, any advice/tips that anyone else has found beyond the ice pack and exercise as advised by the professionals?

Hope you recover well.
It is a really really painful op and to be honest the more you learn in hospital from the physios the easier it can be.
I was lucky and was allowed physios to the house for up to 6 weeks which were vital.
Keep on top of pain killers and keep doing the exercises however much they hurt and you don't want to the better the bend you can achieve now the better you will progress in the future. I have had both knees replaced one in 2009 the other 6 months. Later so am a bit of a way out now.
It does get easier and actually when the clips/sutures whatever are removed the easier it is.
