Well I am still on the high dependency covid ward but I am a lucky as I am a slowly improving, I ended up waiting 13 hours for the ambulance and a couple of hours waiting outside for a bed at a unfamiliar hospital further from my area ,, my sats were 63 on arrival and I was very ill with both lungs very severe infection ,it’s a very scary place with others around me not making it (all men unfortunately) it’s a waiting game to see if you improve and I seem to be 👏, things that helped was trying to stay positive, having a oximeter and had practice breathing exercise previously and knowing lots of people of all different faiths we’re praying for me , the doctor &nurses are on their knees and are wonderful, they are doing such a fantastic job thank you NHS , thank you for all your good wishes and being such a supportive group , I hope this posts as I have already lost two on my phone 🤷🏼‍♀️

What a scary experience for you 9876 and an excellent illustration of just how over- stretched the NHS now is. The staff are doing brilliantly under intense pressure.

Please take care and be fully well soon.

Me too !I was getting worried because we hadn’t heard from you.

I am so sorry you are in intensive care and had such a long wait in an ambulance, that must have been so scary for you.

But you are in the best place. Agreed the NHS is amazing.

For anyone in the U.K. look out for go fund me links. I was sent one by another member and I was able to donate to Kings. They are providing fruit and donuts to the staff hub and intensive care wards.

“To make the quickest progress, you don’t have to take huge leaps. You just have to take baby steps-and keep on taking them. In Japan, they call this approach kaizen, which literally translates as ‘continual improvement.’ Using kaizen, great and lasting success is achieved through small, consistent steps. It turns out that slow and steady is the best way to overcome your resistance to change.” – Marci Shimoff

Keep taking those baby steps to recovery. Prayers for your recovery!
