Hi all, Hope you are all staying safe in these strange times.

Anyway, yet another post on my journey. I went to the research dept for a checkup back in June. Strange visiting a very quiet hospital, but no queues so was speedy. Any way, today I had my regular check up with my consultant and he shared the the results back from the trial team.

Pleased to say still MRD negative. That set of tests was done roughly two years (8/6/2018) after I stopped I+V. Next test in January.

what kind of mrd test?

What kind? There are many?

If you are asking is it bone marrow or peripheral blood. The answer is peripheral blood. BMB were only done during first two years of the trial.

If you are not asking that you’ll need to be clearer.

Just occurred to me, if you are asking something different I’ll not answer it. The blood sample is sent from the local (to me) to the hospital whose research team are running the trial. Only get the result back.

You need the flow cytometry or bone marrow biopsy to confirm MRD negative

bone marrow biopsy does not in itself determine mrd. the bone marrow specimin still needs a flow cytometry mrd test or a nextgen test
