First of all the man lied saying that he hadn't traveled at all, and then later said that he had traveled 25 days earlier. Who knows what the real story was about when he might have been infected.

Thank you ! Interesting article. It's strange that there are not more articles about CLL/Covid patient experiences by now. There are abundant articles about how to protect oneself when in the vulnerable category. There may be something to the slow symptoms speculation, or perhaps medication takes care of protection...or everyone is doing a great job of isolation?

This is the story of the 39-year-old Chinese man with CLL who had Covid, was hospitalized... and appears to have been slower to develop symptoms. Originally published in Lancet. There have been some other posts here about this case.

Indeed - and it's an N of 1 from a country with a much lower incidence of CLL for reasons poorly understood, but which may include genetic differences.

Yes. It is inconclusive to be sure. At the same time, it raises some questions that I hope get answered sometime in the near future....

Agree, it is an interesting read, but very inconclusive as we cannot believe anything the patient told the doctor, as he was already shown to be evading the truth.

True. Still, there is room for speculation. I am not saying this is helpful at this point in time but it should be given some consideration as research moves forward.
