I am on watch and wait. 47 years old unmutated cd 38 positive but my numbers are good at this point. WBC almost normal and slightly anemic. My question is why I I keep getting colds or I guess they are colds and last about a week. Sometimes cough lingers longer but I eventually get better until it happens again usually after a couple weeks of being healthy. I am sick probably more than not sick but it never gets real bad just cough congestion and fatigue. Do CLL patients with seemingly decent blood panel numbers still get sick often? Thanks.

CLL/catching colds
Have you had your Ig levels checked? Usually IgA, IgG, and IgM? CLL can mean lowered immunity.
Is it by any chance seasonal? When I started teaching, I moved from California to Connecticut. Especially during spring and fall I had one cold after another. When I finally was able to establish myself with a good GP, she determined that it wasn’t colds, but allergies, probably related to trees there that I hadn’t been exposed to before.
IGG is above normal the other two in normal range. Allergies seem unlikely because of how I am fine and then sick again but I guess I can’t be sure. Just very frustrating. Good part is it never turns into anything too bad but being sick with cold like symptoms and fatigue 60% of the time just isn’t fun. Thanks for your help and let me know if you have any other thoughts. Hope you are doing ok.
