I’m newly diagnosed with cll stage zero ,no symotoms, watch and wait. I’ve noticed a bump on the top of each of my hands which resemble ganglion cysts. I didn’t give it much thought until I read a post about leukemia cutis. Now I’m getting nervous. Any thoughts. P.S. I’m nervous about everything!!

Lumps on top of each hand which look like ganglion cysts
Hi elm1,
In medicine there is a saying that goes - "the commonest things are common". In other words, don't start investigating for the rare diagnosis until you've excluded the common things. Leukaemia cutis is a very rare complication and most often seen in T cell or acute leukaemias/lymphomas, so even rarer in CLL. Leukaemia cutis plaques are flatter than ganglions and often a different colour to the surrounding skin.
The best thing to do would be to go to your GP/PCP and ask them what they think and I bet they're ganglions.
Best wishes
Jackie
Thank you so much Jackie. I think they’re nothing but I’ve been so paranoid about everything. I’m sure you all can relate being totally shocked to get a cll diagnosis from a routine blood test. Especially since you feel great. Now I think everything could be catastrophic. I appreciate this site and the comraderie
