I'm new.

I have cll (diagnosed September 17), w & w

I complain of lower abdominal pain due to varicose veins. When I took Flebodia 600 (diosmin) - it tones the veins, improves the passage of lymph, thins the blood. My pain went away, but after a week of intake - increased pieces on the neck and my neck began to hurt. And leukocytes deteriorated from 12 to 17.

I stopped drinking the medicine because I was scared. Now I do not drink and live with daily pain (. Maybe you have a similar experience with Flebodia 600 or do you know something about its effect on cll?

Ricotta, I have no experience or knowledge about your condition, but I read a little about varicose vein therapy on the medical site UpToDate. Here is a brief summary of what I found out.

In cases of chronic venous disease (the condition that causes varicose veins) , leukocytes accumulate and adhere to the endothelium of small blood vessels. There are histological findings of increased numbers of macrophages, T lymphocytes, and mast cells in the tissue of these patients.

There are histologic and ultrastructural changes in the capillary and lymphatic microcirculation that produce capillary leak, fibrin deposition, erythrocyte and LEUKOCYTE SEQUESTRATION, thrombocytosis, and inflammation.

Treatment with most venoactive drugs including rutin & rutosides, ie your Diosmin (diosmetin 7-O-rutinoside) have been shown to increase venous tone by a mechanism related to the norepinephrine pathway. Other actions include reduction of capillary hyperpermeability, IMPROVED LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE, anti-inflammatory effects, and decreased blood viscosity. These agents may be useful for managing any class of venous disease.

So, it is possible that when you were taking Diosmin, the sequestered leukocytes were released from sequestration and contributed to your lymphocyte numbers increasing from 12 to 17.

I could not find any connection in the literature between Diosmin and CLL.
