Hi,

I wrote most of my last blog post cllsociety.org/car-t-blog/ on why I chose to come to Seattle for my CAR-T therapy before today which was good cuz I am no shape to write much today.

Stay strong.

We are all in this together.

"I Want to Tell You" that although you must have said many times "I'm So Tired", please know that "It Won't Be Long" before you'll be saying "Here Comes the Sun" and "I Feel Fine". Many times someone has said to you "You Can't Do That" and you always responded in your gentlemanly fashion "I Will".

You wasted no time on "The Long Winding Road" of your CLL journey , proactively pleading for patients, doctors and the medical community to "Come Together". And "Here, There and Everywhere" people responded.

Dr. Koffman, thank you for the update, even though you don't feel well. We are with you every step of the way! Hope you are feeling better soon!

Can't express my feelings better than Mystic did. I know he speaks for hundreds, if not thousands of us in the CLL world. From being part of a small, local support group, which was very important to me in my journey, even though I only attended meetings a couple of times, you have pushed on to make sure that all of us have reliable resources and support. There aren't enough words to properly thank you (and Chris Dwyer) for getting me past my initial diagnosis and treatment!

I've been offline and have missed the posts about your CAR-T journey, but have caught up. As a young 17p deleted patient who travels to be under the care of Dr. Byrd (post obin/ venetoclax/ibrutinib trial and still on ibrutinib), I feel like I am on a similar journey. You have been an inspiration to be a smarter, better informed patient which got me on that path. You have a great attitude, and you are strong, so I have every confidence you will pull through. Best wishes to you and your wife. Ellen

Keeping in mind that you are fighting to win your battle against CLL and T-Cells in particular I would suggest you, rather than explaining all tiny details concentrate on health and recovery, which is much more important for you and your family.

I guess you need all your power to withstand the ups and downs ahead. In between I would suggest you to try clearing the mind and thinking on different items than CLL can help restoring the needed self heeling power of your body.

Meanwhile all the best to you, keep my fingers crossed and perhaps after treatment you let us know the CAR T cell story.

Best regards

Thanks. Good advice. I will likely post less if I am feeling poorly.

It is only to keep you through a difficult journey, During my first time when I got FCR I tried to do to much work in between and stopped it to a minimum before cycle 2. Concentrated fully on my body and it paid out eventually.

We all are keen to get results from new treatments like CAR T-cell injection but, more important is, that you making the most of it and hopefully explain enjoyable results later.

Wishing you and your wife enough power and luck to succeed.
