Pain & night sweets

Pain rt Low rib area, night sweets, swelling in arm folds, behind knees, groin pain, feels like veins are swollen throughout my body, fatigue, 5 years out from diagnosis. Labs values around 22k. Anyone else experience this, I never know what or when I should share this with my oncologist as I feel he will say it's normal for call pts. Thinking of retiring from work I feel stress from work exasperated all of this especially the fatigue. I'll be 65 in a few months

Hi Peggy, so sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad. If you can afford to retire why not do so and save your energy for the important things in life that make you happy and reduce your stress. Stress is not good for your overall wellbeing. I would definitely share these feelings with your oncologist, s/he might be able to help. Sending you a virtual hug and hope you feel better soon.☺

Thank you for these kind words. My family has expressed the same. For some time now I told myself not to give in to these symptoms because I would be giving in to cll. I am meeting with my family Dr today. At first I thought it was just the stresses in my life, but now feel the stress is what could be exasperating the cll, definitely need to but me first over work. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I will post what we decide. Returning the heartfelt virtual hug.💖

I see this is your first post so a warm welcome to you Peggy. I’m not sure which country you’re from but with those symptoms I’d be having a chat with my GP/Primary Doctor. Night sweats (usually at higher levels admittedly but not exclusively) are CLL symptoms but swollen veins and tissues like this are not. Do you have oedema (water retention and swelling) generally? The spleen is on the left side so you need investigation as to what’s paining you on your right side.

We experience all of the usual ailments non CLL’ers get too so don’t let having CLL distract or deter you from looking after your general health.

Hope you get some ease soon and very best wishes.

Thank you for responding. I live in the Pacific northwest near Seattle. These symptoms have been around for 4-5 months, work has been stressful and when that happens my counts go up and fatigue increases but the night sweats are new and just the general feeling in my body is definitely off, we all know our bodies so when these symptoms started and then increased I felt I can't ignore it any longer, so I am seeing my provider today. I see now that not addressing this is one way of not giving in to cll. Crazy head games we play. I will respond once he lets me know what he thinks. Let me know what country you living. Sorry you are living with this as well, but then again we are living! I just need to make change to live better for the sake of my health. Blessings to you.
