Thank you for that, and I will read it more carefully in a few minutes. What confuses me is how do I make my replies or statements invisible to all but the people on this forum. I saw once that you said to choose edit after the comment, but that didn't seem to say anything about privacy? Thanks.

Section 7 covers how to make your post visible to just the members of the community in which you are posting. Otherwise your post can be read in full by anyone on the Internet (which you might want to do to help others with CLL find this community, but at the risk of missing out on replies from members who wish to maintain their privacy).
You can edit any of your posts to revisit this question and change the post visibility by selecting 'v' under your post and then selecting 'Edit'.

Bluenet, I believe we can only choose privacy settings when we start a new post ourselves. When we're replying to existing posts, our comments will only be private to this forum if the initial poster "locked" their post. If a post is "unlocked" from the start, then we can't make our responses private.

Thank you. Now I see why I can't make my replies private!! Guess I'm not too good at this.
Don't put yourself down for not appreciating that whether a reply is private or not is determined solely by the post setting and can't be set on a reply by reply basis. The way features are implemented is not always intuitive.
If you wish to reply to an unlocked post with content that you consider helpful, but wish to keep private to this community, ask the poster or an admin to change the post to locked/private. Likewise, if in a reply, you have unintentionally divulged information you intended be limited to this community, either ask an admin to make the entire post private, or edit your reply to remove the content you didn't want read by anyone who isn't a member of this community. Just select the 'v' under your reply and then select 'Edit'.
Thanks. You're always most helpful. I'm getting the hang of this, but I'm not very good on computers. I get by, but I don't do anything too difficult, and I'm scared to death of viruses that can ruin your computer. We put anti virus software on and anti malware software too after I got some sort of virus that ruined my computer. Have to be so careful anymore. I never could figure out why people would give viruses to people they don't even know! How have you been? You always seem to be coping very well.
After clicking on edit, scroll to the bottom of your post if you are the original poster and change everyone to community only. I now often suggest that a poster might get more complete answers if they lock their post. If I feel I have something really important to add to an unlocked post I send a PM, including saying why I sent the PM instead of answering in the thread.
I really like the change.. but the In Reply To font size in gray is almost unreadable on small devices iPad etc, similarly the hours ago...
How about using a colour?
On the iPhone they use an circular arrow ↪️.. which is much more international in context... and gets the point across
