Do I go back to the doctor for frequent infections?

Hi, I'm a 19 year old female and am concerned with my general health. I went to the doctor three weeks ago with lots of small and large random bruises. I also was very pale and had the month before had a sinus and ear infection. I was a healthy child growing up and now I've been getting infections frequently. When I went to the doctor she did blood work and my white blood cell count was elevated, my red blood cell was low, and my b12 level was significantly high, so with further testing she found I had a strep infection that went untreated and that caused the blood work to be the way it was. I took the antibiotics and thought that would be the end of it, however here I am sick again and I believe with strep (swollen lymph nodes on my neck as well). Do I go back to my physician or just the clinic to get tested again? I'm not sure if she knows exactly what I had so I want to make sure I am taking all the necessary precautions.

Lexi - Do you have CLL? Whether you do or not I would go back to the doctor, and if you don't feel you are getting appropriate answers find someone else. Insist on a throat culture to determine exactly what your infection is, so you are getting the correct antibiotic for it. Also a repeat CBC and B12 test to know whether your counts have improved at all. You might also ask to have your IgG level tested. Let us know how you are doing.
