In the arms of an angel

Three days ago my beloved father passed away peacefully in his sleep. He is now in a better place, resting, free of pain. I want to thank all of you for your precious help, especially Chis and Neil, and wish all the best with your treatments.

Here is the CLL journey of my father:

October 2015- Dx with mild CLL (watch and wait)

February 2016- started FCR due to B symptoms (8 cycles)

September 2016- PR

November 2016- CLL back and trial with Venetoclax

April 2017- Leg lymph node growing and Zydelig

June 2017- PCP caused by Zydelig

July 2017- CMV pneumonia

August 2017- Dx with Richters Transformation de novo

August 2017- 1st round of RCHOP and serious blood infection

August 2017- 0 platelets, 0 WBC, 0 neutrophils and brain hemorrhage.

Since my dad was diagnosed, I started spending more precious time with him, telling him more that I love him, and appreciating life more than ever.

I wanna thank him for making me the person I am now, and I wish some day I'll be half the man that he is in my eyes.

I'm gonna take a break from CLL society now, and I hope it's gonna be a long one.

Heaven is now a better place because he's there. He will be forever watching over you and everyone he loves, showing himself in mysterious, and glorious ways. You'll know when he's there. It will be the sudden calming peace that comes over you, maybe the appearance of something he loved in nature, that just seems out of place at the moment. Our God is a loving God that always wants to know us, love us, and care for us, just like your dad was with you. The Lord will let your dad forever be a part of your life, albeit all so subtlety now.

I pray that you and yours can find peace and joy, knowing that your dad is finally completely and forever healed. He'll never know pain again, and will forever remain with you.
