Alopurinol

Start treatment for two days with Chlorambucil 6mg /day -7d.

I dont know how use Alopurinol (300mg).when?.Beofore one day,all in one dose or when starting Chlorambucil?

I trying Dr.Antic telephon-is not possible....

Hello Olga,

I don't know how you would take Alopurinol with any other drug's, but I take Alopurinol every day. In my case, it's used to prevent episode's of gout. I'm sorry that could not help you any futher, as I have no knowledge of taking it with other drug's.

He write:300mg Alopurinol and nothing when,1x,1,3x1 a 100 mg,,before Chlorambucil,after...

I think that your dose would not be all at once, but rather daily, though I couldn't guess how many a day. Some friends have started it a few days before starting chemotherapy. Others have started it on the first day of their treatment. I think that how a doctor makes that decision depends on how high the WBC is, the condition of the kidneys, and just personal preferance of the doctor.

I would not start the chlorambucil until you have an answer. Delaying it for a couple of days should not make a difference, but not taking the allopurinol correctly so it can support your kidneys when the chlorambucil starts to take effect could be dangerous.

I have one kedney (St.post nephrectomiam pp AdenoCa)before XXX y.

Today.again,Dr.Antic is not in Clinique.One yuang doctor (not haematologist) say me:Allopurinol 300 mg before Chlorambucil for day.

Tomorrow start Allopurinol one hour before Chlorambucil.I am not sure exactly.
